HWP on Sunnyside comp.

"world in my eyes" and "sing it again" has been sighted on Sunnyside Foursquare's 25th Anniversary Celebration disc. The compilation features artists that are part of various churches (including Helix) that have been planted out of the Sunnyside Foursquare community. I believe the disc will be handed out as freebies, but are not currently available yet, due to "unforeseen circumstances outside our control" as reported on their website. Hopefully, the circumstances are not mirroring HWP's situation before the HWP cd release.

UPDATE: The CDs were finished and handed out for free during their 25th Ann. Celebration Sunday.

the main shipment

the main stock of cds are finally here. if you have a cd with a white label on it, consider it a "limited edition", lucky you, as the other 1000 are the real silk-screened guys. if you want to purchase or request any right away, email the church (to the right, where it says "email us"), as it will take a week or so to get the online purchasing going. we'll figure out a way to get them to you in the meantime.

The CD is in people's hands!

After an dramatic friday afternoon involving mis-shipped discs, three dozen phone calls to the duplicator, crashed hard drives, frantic searching for the backup master, serious prayer, and three mysteriously broken glasses, the first shipment was in the trunk of my honda at 11:30pm. thanks to mark at nwmedia, who stayed late to burn CD-Rs, we got the first 100 copies for sunday morning. The worship celebration was a success and a great way to kick off this project. the rest of the shipment will arrive later this week, and, over the next few weeks, you'll start seeing this disc pop up in a few local stores and online. i'll be posting the places where you'll find the disc as we go along.

Vision
• To create a worship CD that would capture the essence of what God is doing at the Helix.
• To trust God to provide the money for the CD and produce 1000 copies
• To share that music with others for the purpose of ministry.
• To offer the CD for free for those who don’t have the money to purchase it.
• To use the revenue God provides through the CD for future music projects, worship at the church and to further the greater Helix vision.

Free Copies
• Everyone who contributed to the CD will get a couple free copies
• Everyone else in the church gets 1
o With these free CD’s comes the assumption that all previous copies will be destroyed and all downloaded versions will be replaced.
• All additional copies will be available at a $10 suggested donation.
o If you want a copy for someone and you/they don’t have the $10 that is fine but please only ask for free CD’s if you have someone specific in mind.

Sales Ideas
• Church
• See the Stanfill’s with Cash /Check. If they aren’t there see Alanna.
• Mail (online sales for now)
• Send $ to the PO Box or give it to Stanfill’s with Cash/Check (+ $2.00) and the address to mail it too.
• Store
• CD’s will be available in stores Music Millennium and Everyday Music and online through CD Baby.com.
• We will be sending the CD to distributors* for other possible sale options
• Internet
• Music will be available for download on iTunes, Napster and Rhapsody by listing it on CD Baby.
Promotion
• We will be sending copies to Christian radio stations.
• *Currently Grassroots Music and worshipmusic.com (two high-profile Christian independent online distributors) are reviewing the project and may feature it prominently.
• We would like to play some worship services at churches, coffee shops and clubs.

What to do with the $
• The next $2000.00 goes to worship equipment (200 sold)
o $800 Duplicator
o $1200 Bass, Guitar, and repairs to the drums
• The first $3000.00 goes to the next CD (500 sold)
o $1000 recording and mixing
o $600 Mastering
o $1400 Duplicating
 In the event that the CD sells like hot-cakes we will use $1400 of the ‘next CD $’ to duplicate another 1000.
 Then we will replace the $1400 for the ‘next CD’
• The rest of the money will go to the Helix for general purposes
